A Little About Me
A warm, active approach to therapy
I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely understood and cared about, but also when there’s a clear sense of where we’re going. My style is warm, collaborative, and active. You can expect me to be actively engaged in our work together—asking questions, sharing observations, helping us stay focused on what you want to change, and offering guidance when I think it can be helpful.
Before entering private practice, I spent nearly a decade providing therapy in a community mental health clinic, working with adults facing a wide range of challenges. That experience taught me that there isn’t one approach that works for everyone. I try to understand the person in front of me, adapt the work to what they need, and make sure we’re regularly checking that therapy is actually moving in a useful direction.
My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t entirely traditional. Before entering the field, I worked in educational animation and commercial art, and later volunteered on a crisis hotline. What ultimately drew me to psychotherapy—and what continues to matter most to me about this work—is the opportunity to really get to know people and help them make sense of what’s been keeping them stuck.
